Last Saturday Mum and I went on an adventure to a beautiful estate called Tarrawarra Estate in the Yarra Valley. It is a wine making estate that also has a beautifully designed art gallery and restaurant. There was an exhibition on showing some of the work of Australian artist named William Dobell. A fascinating man and unusual art with some beautiful pieces, and an interesting life journey to match. I adore the architecture and the shadows it creates, as well as the materials it's made out of, inside and out. So much so that I get excited just being there as there is always something breathtaking to look at, or unusual materials to touch, or photograph.
I used to live very near to the Yarra Valley and know it very well. It's a beautiful part of the world with fantastic restaurants and food, not to mention the scenery. It was wonderful to see some familiar places and such beauty. It always took my breath away when I was there, as well as touched my soul with a feeling of creativity and comfort. Here are some photos from the estate and exhibition, as well as the restaurant. "Enjoy :)
