The same day that I went to the Open Day in Melbourne to see some buildings I went to the gallery. I discovered rooms and rooms of amazing paintings that perhaps I've missed in the past or they've swapped things around and they are now on display. On my journey to find the large painting that had been restored, I landed up doing laps and laps of the floor and rooms. I've always thought to myself that older paintings and portraits especially are like a photograph and capture the person and time as cameras didn't exist then. After finding the painting, I slowed down and just took the time to study some portraits and other paintings. Perhaps it's also a sign of getting older and being interested in other things. Enjoy some of the photos as these paintings were painted around 1785 and 1762, amazing! Enjoy
