LUCY (2014)A woman, accidentally caught in a dark deal, turns the tables on her captors and transforms into a merciless warrior evolved beyond human logic. Apparently we only use 10% of our brain and this movie centres around what would happen if we could used 100%. Scarlett Johansson's character is Lucy who get's caught up in an unfortunate situation she doesn't willingly want to get involved in, and has some lethal drug implanted into her stomach. This accidently bursts and goes into het blood stream which sets off a chain reaction which accelerates her brain capacity to 100%. Morgan Freeman's plays a character who is a leading world expert on brain function and their paths meet. They become partners in working on trying to help her as well as him learning about the changes in the brain's capacity past 20% that the world has never seen before. It is brilliantly filmed, great special effects and can be quite violent in a Tarentino esk way. The ending is weird however brilliant the more I thought about it in terms of how it applies to quantum physics (the tiny amount I know about it as have a fascination for it). I LOVED IT and would easily see it again. I gave it 4 ****
