I went into the back garden one morning just to photograph a particular plants seeds, and out of nowhere the Wattle bird, a regular visitor, flew in and started to go nuts on the kangaroo paws. I was in heaven! My endorphines kicked in as did my trigger happy finger tip on the camera button. I was curious to see how this semi large bird could sit on the delicate and long (some 8 feet long) kangaroo paw stems and not break them. As well as how a beak bigger that the opening to the flower part of the paws could get at the pollen. Some of them are gorgeous as you can see his beak just coated in pollen. There are so many photos, these are just some of the best. Enjoy :)
